  4.         I  don't  think I need to tell you that X-Comm represents a massive
  5. effort  on  the  part of William Waring and I to produce a terminal program
  6. will a user-friendly environment that is also powerful.  We have put a vast
  7. amount  of our time over the past 1 or so year to produce this program.  It
  8. represents  a commitment to Amiga telecommunications that we have made.  We
  9. have tried our best to make a program that you will enjoy using.  It is for
  10. this  reason  that  we ask that you support us by sending us a registration
  11. fee.   In  return,  we  will  show  our  appreciation  by  sending  you the
  12. registered  version of X-Comm.  not only will your conceince be healed, but
  13. by  showing  your  support, you will ensure that X-Comm is support into the
  14. future.

  16.         It  is  our plan to make X-Comm the premier terminal program on the
  17. amiga.   We  belive  that our users should come first and foremost.  If you
  18. are  a  registered  owner of X-Comm, you will recieve a full account on the
  19. X-Comm  Support  BBS  that will allow you to download the latest version of
  20. X-Comm  free of charge.  You will also gain access to the X-Comm registered
  21. users  discussion  area  and  will  be able to talk to us, the programmers,
  22. through  this  area.   A very heavy weighting will be placed on suggestions
  23. and  bug  reports  made by registered users.  Registered users' suggestions
  24. will  placed first on the list, no matter how good some unregistered users'
  25. suggestions may be.

  27.         If  you  wish  to  register  X-Comm,  please  read and fill out the
  28. X-Comm.RegistrationForm  and  mail it to us at the address indicated in the
  29. file.   This file contains the licensing agreement and general registration
  30. information that you MUST read.  It is very important.

  35.         If  you  register  X-Comm,  you  are also agreeing to our licensing
  36. policy.

  38. X-Comm Registration Licensing Policy

  41. Here are the terms of registering X-Comm:

  43. 1)  We agree that on receipt of your payment for X-Comm, we will mail you a
  44. registered  copy  of  the program on a disk to the address specified on the
  45. registration  form.   Please note that all mail sent will be Australia Post
  46. registered,  which  will  void us of any responsibility of possible loss of
  47. mail by Australia Post (it then becomes Australia Post's problem.)

  49.         We  also agree to regard you with registered X-Comm user status and
  50. will  setup  a  BBS  account  password  with  the  details specified on the
  51. registration form.

  53. 2) On reciept of your copy of X-Comm, you may duplicate the files contained
  54. on  the  disk  for YOUR USE ONLY.  It must NOT be placed on any public bbs,
  55. ftp/fsp  site,  mailed to anyone, given to anyone else in any manner by any
  56. means.   The  version  you  receive  has  your name and registration number
  57. encrypted  into it.  Attempting to change this information will violate the
  58. licensing  agreement  and  deem you liable to prosecution in the Australian
  59. courts.   Also,  giving  your  registered  version to anyone else will also
  60. violate  the  licensing  agreement and will deem you liable to legal action
  61. and/or prosecution in the Australian courts.

  63. NOTE:   The  copy  protection used in X-Comm will make it almost impossible
  64. for you to remove any traces of your registration name or number.  The name
  65. and  registration  number  displayed  in  the  about window is not the only
  66. thing.  Your name and registration number in encrypted throughout the file,
  67. and,  if  changed,  will  render  X-Comm  absolutly useless.  YOU HAVE BEEN
  68. WARNED.

  70. 3) If the X-Comm executable has been changed in any manner whatsoever, I do
  71. NOT  take  any  responsibility for anything that may happen to your system.
  72. As  far as I am concerned, if you want to ruin my program, then I will ruin
  73. your system.  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

  75. 4)  If  you  wish  to  obtain  future  releases  of X-Comm, please send the
  76. registration  form  again  including  either  $A5  or  $A10 for postage and
  77. handling (depending on where you live - see registration form).  The latest
  78. update to X-Comm will be mailed to you, at no further cost.

  82.         If  you  have  agreed  to  this  liscening  policy, and you wish to
  83. register  X-Comm,  please  now  fill  out  and  read  the registration form
  84. contained in the same directory as this file.
